]]> Experience the “flagship of the Cretan vineyard’s rebirth” with the Garakis Vidiano. Produced by the dedicated Garakis Winery in the picturesque village of Kounavoi, Heraklion, this wine is a testament to the family’s commitment to organic farming and the preservation of indigenous Cretan heritage.
This terroir-driven Vidiano is sourced from four small, organically cultivated vineyard parcels. These vines are planted in poor, calcareous (limestone) soils, which provide the wine with remarkable energy and a distinctive vertical structure.
The winemaking process involves a classic white vinification at controlled temperatures. To gain complexity and volume, the wine remains in contact with its fine lees for three months, undergoing weekly battonage (stirring).
